Since the issue is isolated to a single app, let’s focus our troubleshooting on ensuring that the Netflix app itself is clean and reinstalled correctly.
Even after a factory reset, sometimes a residual software glitch can affect a specific application. Please try this step to ensure all old data is cleared:
- Go to Settings: From the Google TV Home screen, navigate to your Profile icon (top right) and select Settings.
- Open Apps: Select Apps and then select See all apps.
- Find Netflix: Scroll down and select the Netflix app.
- Clear Data and Cache: Select Clear data and then select Clear cache.
- Uninstall and Reinstall: Select Uninstall (if the option is available, as some pre-installed apps may not allow this) and then go back to the Google Play Store on your Google TV and reinstall the Netflix app.
