Google TV home, "Apps only mode" broken

The apps-only mode has been broken for several versions of the app. When trying to scroll down or select an app from the bottom, it doesn't scroll down; the apps aren't displayed.

The only way to fix it so far is to disable and then re-enable "Apps Only Mode," and that solves the problem. Has anyone else had the same issue with the Google TV Home and how to fix it?

Hi @jackoperez94,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear about the navigation issues you're experiencing with your Google TV Home when using 'Apps only' mode. ' I understand how frustrating it is to have your apps cut off and not be able to scroll through your list, especially since you've already tried toggling the mode on and off.

To get more assistance regarding "Apps only mode," we recommend visiting the Google TV Help Community. They will be happy to assist you further.

Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Best regards,

Brian.

Can confirm this behavior is exhibited across multiple devices including Sony TV's and Chromecast for Google TV 4K.

Its pretty easy to replicate.  Suggest you submit this to your developers to fix it.

We are stuck with either an extremely bloated interface full of advertising and other garbage or an alternative that has been broken for some time.

Yes, same issue in my TV and Google has not fixed it til today.  The only workaround that works for me is not uninstall the update for Google TV.

To uninstall the Google TV app update (or any system app update), navigate to Settings > Apps > See all apps > Show system apps, select the Google TV app, and choose Uninstall updates. Then restart TV.
