Google TV keeps dropping wifi, I have to disconnect from power then reconnect to fix.

It's the streamer, white body, plugged into an hdmi on the tv.  I bought it about a year ago

The router is 1m away, signal strength is excellent, other devices hanging on the same streamer are fine.

You ask about platform.  This does not apply, I just said IoS to be able to proceed

Hi shimself,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with the WiFi connection of your Google TV Streamer that is dropping. I understand how frustrating can be when the things does not work as expected. But don't worry; I can help. In this case, you can follow the next steps:

  • Check if the router has a hidden network name or SSID
  • Set up your streaming device on the correct network.
  • Disable access point (AP) isolation
  • Connect to a different network
  • Turn on Bluetooth and local network access for iOS devices
  • Reboot your router
  • Force close the Google Home app
  • Reboot your mobile device
  • Reboot your streaming device
  • Use a different setup device
  • Perform a factory reset on the streaming device

You can check the "Can't establish a Wi-Fi connection to Chromecast or Google TV Streamer" for detailed information.
Please let me know if you have more questions.

Best regards,
Jenny
