Google Tv won't connect to Google Home network

I just set up my Google TV Streamer. It connected to my Google account, but won't connect to my Google Home network. It shows up on my Google Home app but won't allow me to add it to a room. When I try to add it to a room it tries to sign into my account to connect it and it says it failed. 

 

Any help?

Thanks for posting in the community.

I understand you've successfully connected your new Google TV Streamer (4K) to your Google account and it shows up in the Google Home app but won't let you add it to a room. I'd be happy to help you get to the bottom of this and complete the setup.

To help me troubleshoot, please answer a few questions:

  • What is the make and model of the mobile phone that you are using to set up your streamer?
  • Is your mobile phone's operating system up to date?
  • Are you using the latest version of the Google Home app? If not, you can check this Google Help Center article on how to update it: Update the Google Home app.
  • Could you please confirm that you are using the same Google Account in the Google Home app that you used to set up the streamer?
  • On your Google TV screen, have you tried to sign in using the Home Panel by navigating with your remote control?
