I tried to play HDR10+ videos in VP9 codec on youtube as well as offline through HDD on my Samsung AUE70 (Supporting HDR10+ but not DV).
HDR10+ in VP9 plays in just HDR but not in HDR10+ both on youtube as well as through HDD.
However, HDR10+ videos in AV1 codec playing correctly as HDR10+ both on youtube as well as when played through HDD.
Hybrid Dolby vision + HDR10+ videos keeps blinking and keeps changing between HDR and HDR10+ every second.
Does streamer play HDR10+ in Vp9 codec?

Hi @KKVerma,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with HDR10+ content on your Google TV Streamer (4K) and your Samsung AUE70 TV and the VP9 codec, and also I appreciate you confirming that the AV1 codec is playing correctly and that hybrid content causes blinking. I understand how frustrating this must be, and I’ll be more than glad to assist you.
Let’s try disabling all HDR formats that your TV supports.
Examples include Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HDR10+, and HLG.
You can also take a look at the following article for more troubleshooting steps: Video quality issues on Chromecast with Google TV or Google TV Streamer.
Let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Derick.

Hi, thanks for the reply. But disabling all HDRs like HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for watching such content can't be a solution. People buy devices like google streamer for watching content in HDR10+ and Dolby Vision on various platform. It is unfortunate that Google streamer is unable to play HDR10+ content in VP9 codec on youtube and through HDD offline. I hope the software team can work on this issue and sort out HDR10+ playback in VP9 codec because as per specifications the streamer supports HDR10+ as well as VP9. Still it is unable to play HDR10+ in VP9

Hi there,
Thank you for your reply. I understand that disabling HDR is not a viable solution, as the main purpose of a device like the Google TV Streamer (4K) is to enjoy content in high-quality formats like HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
Could you please provide me with the firmware version of your Google TV Streamer (4K)?
I also recommend you submit a feedback report in the Google Home app by following the steps below:
I'll be waiting for your reply.
Best regards,
Derick.
