Google buds 2 pro crashes Bluetooth

Just bought Google Buds 2 pro on sale.  Connects to my Android phone just fine.  When I connect them to Google TV Streamer, Bluetooth on the streamer crashes.  The earbuds disconnect and the remote stops working.  I have to use the phone remote to do anything.  All firmware is the latest: Pixel 7, Google TV Streamer, and Google buds 2 pro.

I attempted to contact support but "send a message" returns 404, and "call me" returns an error.

I have tried:

  • Forgetting and reconnecting the buds
  • Using BT pairing instead of pairing automatically.
  • Factory reset of the buds
  • Factory reset of the Streamer
  • Turning on multilink
  • Turning off multilink
  • Pairing the Streamer only (not the phone unpaired, not simply disconnected)

I got one day of use, now this happens every time.

Hi @William12,

Thanks for posting in the community. I understand you're having difficulties connecting your Pixel Buds Pro 2 to your Google TV Streamer, as your streaming device crashes and your Pixel Buds disconnect automatically. I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts and the information shared. Don't worry, I'd be more than glad to assist you.

Let's try these steps:

  • If you have other Bluetooth devices paired with your streaming device, please disconnect them first and then try to pair them with your Pixel Buds.
  • Unplug your TV for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. Once the TV is on, please try pairing it again.
  • Please make sure that your Pixel Buds aren't connected to another device, such as a phone or tablet. If they are, please disconnect them, then try pairing them again, and test.

Please let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Jonathan
