Google streamer EON app problem

Hello

I recently bought a google TV streamer.From store,I downloaded the EON app but when I try to getting start the app it doesn’t starts…Can you please fix this issue?I contacted the EON support and they told me that if the app is in the store,then Google must fix this issue.

Thanks for your quick respond. Here are my comments:

• When did the issue start?: Immediately after the installation of the Streamer and downloading the app. That was on the first day out of the box.

• Do you see an error message? No error message. Just nothing happens when I try to start the app.

• Are you having the issue just with this app? Yes. 

• Do you experience the same issue with another app? No. I have tried Netflix and YouTube (they both came preloaded with Streamer) and they work fine. I have to admit that I didn't try any other app  from the Google Play store. Will try today (this unit is for my mother in law and she doesn't live with us. I can test it only when I visit her).

I just brought the unit to my home for testing, connected it to the network and TV and tried to install EON TV. It is not available in Google Play store anymore (at least for this device). It looks like I will be returning Google Streamer to the store. 😞

• No. I have tried Netflix,YouTube,Disney+,Apple tv,Prime Video,Vodafone Tv,Cosmote Tv and they all work fine. 
  
  
  I contacted EON support(NOVA) in Greece but they couldn’t find a solution for my problem…EON app is still in google store but it still not open after installation

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your feedback. I suspect you've meant to say that EON TV app is not supported in the Google TV Streamer 4K, not Google Chromecast. The reason I say this is in the fact that I have it installed in Google Chromecast with TV 4K at my mother's place and it is working perfectly.

Thank you for your feedback.I also have a Google TV chromecast 4K and the EON TV app works perfectly.I downloaded from the store and worked from the first time.So I decided to buy and extra Google device,the Google Tv streamer,in order to use the EON TV app.Please try to fix this problem as soon as possible so I can use my favourite EON TV app in my new Google TV streamer.EON TV app is available in the store,but it doesn’t starts at all

mind you that if the app is not supported anymore because the google tv streamer is higher android version than google chromecast 4k, or for any other reason, google has no responsibility, it falls under eon to fix it…

Same problem here.

EON apk doesn't starts at all even if it's installed and says nothing while installing and also when you try to start it. It seems it's started somehow, because you can close it from application manager, but no evidence at all that it is working.

I have the same problem on my Android TV box.

It used to work perfectly a couple of months ago, now it refuses to open. This is absurd, fix your app! One of your "updates" broke it.

The proof is that if you were to download an older version of the APK from a 3rd party website like APK mirror and install it, it works perfectly. Just make sure to get the Android TV version, not the phone Android one.

Hello,
I downloaded EON application from Google Store. When I press on it to launch it, it just "freezes" the streamer for a little time without anything happening.
I do not recollect the version because right now I am in a different address as to where the streamer is located.
