Hi Guys
I am experiencing extremely odd behaviour with my Chromecast
So it's a 3rd Gen unit plugged into a HDMI port on a basic AWA LCD non-smart TV
I am using the TVs provided USB outlet to power the unit
Whilst the unit is streaming it will suddenly stop audio, start making a high pitched single tone sound for a second or two, and then fix it self.
It happens randomly but the sound is the same as is the duration of the sound
The TV picture is not comprised at all and it happens with all streaming services we are subscribed to.
IT IS NOT THE TV SPEAKERS making the noise. It's not feedback or any other faulty component. It doesn't do it unless we are streaming through the Chromecast unit
I look forward to your suggestions for a solution
Thanks

I would wonder about the USB port. Most TV's ports are designed for data transfer and NOT designed to power a device like a Chromecast that has a computer in it and WiFi radios.
Google strongly suggests that you use a wall-outlet to power Chromecast devices. Try that and see if your problem vanishes.
