I’ve bought a new Sony Bravia TV, it has Google TV on it integrated. When I watch videos via browser app Ambient mode is always interrupting it. That’s very annoying and block me from using my TV. As I understood from previous posts, there is no such a setting that will allow me to turn this Ambient mode off. So my TV suppose to be going to trash just because Google blocked that option!? I found a loooooooot of complains on this topic! I wish to know which steps were done already in this directions!? Is it somewhere on your roadmaps to add a possibility turn off/on ambient mode!? That’s basic option! Why you blocked it!

Hey Kruz!
I gave a try to your recommendation "Change the timer to never turn off the TV when it is inactive" -> it doesn't work at all I still see Ambient mode (screen is locked like on laptop)
I read different posts about Ambient mode, what I understood so far-> it turns on when you doesn't use remote more then 10 min, so when remote wasn't touched >10 min screen locked
So when I watch movies or listen some podcast in my browser app on mu Sony TV - every 10 min screen is locked and that's horrible! that makes my TV useless, I wanted to return it, but in the shop they told me that it's not an issue - this is Google TV feature and it works as expected. That kills me, 2000$ for TV and now I need to click remote every 10 min to make it work?! That nonsense !
People send complains directly to Sony, but sony support team says it Google TV option and that's it, according to Google you can't turn off Ambient mode.
So I wish to know why that option is not available for users?
Is there some workarounds here to kill that service?
What will be the next step to solve that issue? Should I sent request< post somewhere else to report it?I wish to escalate it as much as possible!

Never mind I found solution myself, will post it here, just in case someone will solve their problems too
To disable Ambient mode->
You should activate Developer Mode and set the option to Stay Awake.
To activate Developer mode, go to: Settings (Go to your user circle top right), System, About, Android TV OS Build and keep clicking until it says Developer Mode enabled.
Then the option should be available under Settings -> System -> Developer Tools.

I sent my feedback, but I do feel that there won’t be any profit of this. Could you find any way, how can I kill that service in TV settings? Some workarounds??? I really can’t watch my TV!
