L R scroll doesn't work

Chromecast remote device worked fine, but we disconnected for a few hours. When I reconnected, tho I can scroll vertically and choose whatever is leftmost on the page, I can't scroll right for other programming choices. I've replaced the batteries while holding the home button and held the home and back buttons simultaneously, unplugged the whole thing each several X, but still NG. TIA

Thank you so much for posting in this community. I'm sorry to hear your Chromecast controller is not responding when you scroll right and left. Don't worry, I'm here to help.

 

It's good to hear from you that you've already taken action on the matter. So let's explore more tips. 

 

  • Reboot your Chromecast. Just to be sure that you have followed all the instructions, check out this article: Reboot your Chromecast device. 
  • Unpair your Chromecast Voice remote: if your voice remote is currently paired with your Chromecast, please unpair it.
  1. To navigate the TV screen, set up your phone as a virtual remote.
  2. On the TV screen, go to your account profile > Settings > Remotes & Accessories.
  3. Select Chromecast Remote > Forget > Yes.
  • Factory reset your Chromecast Voice remote: This step will permanently delete all data on your device. Follow these instructions in this article: Troubleshoot the Chromecast Voice Remote.
