New router can’t find Chromecast so it can’t connect to wifi

Hi

I got new router a few weeks ago and when I opened Google home app, I get this message

B7P3 Can’t connect to Wi-Fi

I usually cast to Living Room TV but also managed to ‘Forget’ that device in the app.

any advice, please?

btw, not even sure if I got the categories right above . 😬

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear that you are getting the can’t connect to Wi-Fi error when you open your Google Home app, and you can’t access your Chromecast. Don't worry; help is here.

Before we continue, I have some questions:

  • What type of Chromecast do you have?
  • Is your new router a Nest Wifi?
  • Have you tried to do a factory reset on your Chromecast?
