I'm switching to Apple.

I'm exhausted from dealing with these "revolving-door" issues with Google and it's affiliates; most notably, the fact of their inept ability to resolve them. It's nothing short of impossible to (outside of A.I.) establish communication. However, when I AM able to correspond with someone (by some random act of God) there isn't a single person who's qualified to provide me with a viable solution. All that's offered to me and others as well, is an endless search that leads down a rabbit of useless multiple-choice options; which ultimately lands on a completely different subject that's not even remotely close to what I was initially searching for.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. If you may, kindly share here what Google device or product you have and what happened to it. We would like to know more and help as much as we can, if you’d let us.

We look forward to your reply.

Thanks,

Apparently Google has known about this issue for years and still has yet to produce a viable solution. I follow the steps that I included in my reply in the device still Remains in my Google home.

Hello Dope_FiveO,

Thanks for the details. I understand that you’re not happy about this merry-go-round you’re having. I checked the post, and this is related to a Google Home (1st Gen). Is this happening to your Chromecast device, which is why you posted it here as well? What Chromecast device do you have connected to your TV? Outside of the Google Home App concern, is your Chromecast device working as intended? Kindly give us more details related to your Chromecast device so we can identify what’s going on.

We look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Kimy

I have a device that I cannot remove or unlink from my Google Home list of devices.

Google Assistant does not populate an option to delete the instance of the device and Unlinking through Google Home app has been ineffective
