I have working IPv6 at home using an eero router which I believe uses SLAC for for IPv6 and DHCP for IPv4. I noticed when I restart the chromecast it gets a global IPv6 address but no IPv4. If I then disconnect from the wifi and reconnect it gets an IPv4 address but no global IPv6 address.

Hi tech2024,
Thanks for posting in the Community! Sorry to hear that your Google Chromecast is only receiving a global IPv6 address after a restart, but not an IPv4 address. It seems like there might be a router configuration issue preventing the Chromecast from getting the correct internet protocol, even though it's connected to Wi-Fi. Let’s take a look at the next articles related to connection issues:
Let me know if it works.

Axel.
