bravo, great, I did as it says, I set the date back to March 6 and installed it again and it immediately updated and it's now working and I'm watching football.

Adesso funziona! Grazie mille 🫶🏻

You deserve all the kudos for this. Thank you!

Ive tried this several times on both my Chromecasts & it fails every time

Thank you, it worked for me.

Changing Date was a Bulls eye solution for Factory reset users like. Really guys thats really great....Google please take this solution which is really genius.

Worked for me 🫶🏻 tnx

Now that you've got it back online, you'll just need to wait for the firmware update fix to hit your Chromecast.

Some have reported that you can sort of "provoke" the update by power-cycling your Chromecast - unplug/re-plug the power cable.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with these issues at all. Please, tell me how to reset my phone to March 7th?

For iPhone: Settings, General, Date & Time.

For other phones, Google it. 🙂

I've done step 1 above, I then went to setup the Chromecast again, but it keeps searching saying that there is nothing there.  The Chromecast is plugged in also.

I promise you, this works. Some have reported multiple attempts required.

Worked! Thank you!

Thank you so much. That worked out! Totally agree. Google should pin that important info to the top of their page!

I feel so dumb. How the heck does one temporarily change the date on our phone and how does that help?

You're not dumb.

It depends on your phone.

For iPhone: go to Settings, General, Date & Time. Disable "Auto" and manually set the date to 3/7/25.

For most Android models: Settings, General Management, Date and Time.

How or where we can change the date in a Samsung A23  device?

For Android phones: Settings, General Management, Date and Time. Disable "Auto" and manually set the date to 3/7/25.

Done!!

Omg!! It realy worked.

Still not abre to conect but you said paciencia

.how long it Takes to fimish the configuration?

It seems that they're actually rolling it out to everyone pretty quickly.

Also, some have reported that power-cycling your Chromecast (unplug/re-plug the power cable) will sort of "provoke" the firmware update to be installed.
