Grazie!

Now that you've got it back online, you'll just need to wait for the firmware update fix to hit your Chromecast.
Some have reported that you can sort of "provoke" the update by power-cycling your Chromecast - unplug/re-plug the power cable.

03-15-2025 04:06 PM
03-15-2025 05:07 PM
I've done step 1 above, I then went to setup the Chromecast again, but it keeps searching saying that there is nothing there. The Chromecast is plugged in also.

I feel so dumb. How the heck does one temporarily change the date on our phone and how does that help?
03-15-2025 06:46 PM - edited 03-15-2025 06:56 PM
You're not dumb.
It depends on your phone.
For iPhone: go to Settings, General, Date & Time. Disable "Auto" and manually set the date to 3/7/25.
For most Android models: Settings, General Management, Date and Time.
03-15-2025 07:34 PM
How or where we can change the date in a Samsung A23 device?
03-15-2025 07:53 PM
For Android phones: Settings, General Management, Date and Time. Disable "Auto" and manually set the date to 3/7/25.
03-15-2025 07:54 PM
Done!!
03-15-2025 07:52 PM

It seems that they're actually rolling it out to everyone pretty quickly.
Also, some have reported that power-cycling your Chromecast (unplug/re-plug the power cable) will sort of "provoke" the firmware update to be installed.
03-15-2025 08:10 PM
Ok.so now i can be able to see the pictures, but can't cast my apps.
So can i plug out/in the cable?
