Thanks for the information . 100% TOP

Infelizmente já tinha realizado a redefinição de fábrica!

O App (Google Home) já está atualizado com a versão mais recente (3.30.1.6 para Android e 3.30.106 para iOS).

Porem ainda funciona.

Stoll not working

My Chromecast is dead. I tried to reset without known the problem, no email or alert received...
So now it is bricked. I've tried to update google home to 3.30.1.6, but still doesn't work.
At some point during after the reset, it says: can't communicate with Chromecast etc.

I'm so sad.

Tem uma previsão?

Thenks

Ancora nulla...

I have found a fix for when you have factory reset your device and updated google home to the recommended version and things still don't work.

You need two mobile phones for this fix, with one serving as a hotspot, and the other has google home app installed.

1. Turn of your WiFi

2. Set the date of both of your phones to March 5th

3. Create a hotspot with name and password an exact copy of your home wifi

4 with the other mobile phone: connect to the hotspot and start your home app.

5. Start connecting to your chromecast. It should go smoothely now. Follow the steps and connect your chromecast to the hotspot.

6 chromecast should download the so desired firmware updates from google!

7 go through all the steps from google home. If things don't go, just skip them

8 when google home says you're done, disconnect the power of your chromecast

9 turn down the hotspot, set your phones back to normal date, turn on your home WiFi, and wait till you see it on your phones.

10 connect the power back to your chromecast

11 Cast whatever you want!

I initially did this March 4th troubleshooting. Mine still stays stuck on "Get the app download page and when trying to connect it reads "Can't communicate with device". Have this been resolved yet for the users who did a factory reset?

Finalmente, hoje, o Home do meu smartphone foi atualizado para a última versão e consegui atualizar o Chromecast que está funcionando sem problemas.

Okay I'm looking forward to e

I've already updated to v3.30.1.6, but still can't set up my Chromecast that was reset.

Cómo me conecto a mi tv

Hi Google

I can still not get my chromecast gen 2 working (it has been factory reset) . The Home app is updated with the March 15th update. I've tried with two different Google pixel phones (3xl and a 6a). What to do?

Hi, change the date from the phone you use to configure Chrome cast to march 1st (disable automatic date and time) then proceed to configurate your devices. I read here and it work in on my 2 devices...

On Android device long press the home icon. This will show update in menu. With the Chromecast attached and powered on bring up the HDMI that chromecast is plugged into. On mobile device update home app . Follow on screen instructions on mobile device. This will update app and resolve any issues with factory reset

Bonjour,

Mon appareil n'est toujours pas fonctionnel. Où en êtes-vous du déploiement ?

Still nothing good news for people who made factory reset?

Hi. Try this:

Disable automatic date on your phone, set the date on March 1st, then configure your device from Google Home, I read this solution here and now my devices are ok.

This is only a short term fix. Once you turn automatic updates back on and Google home updates again, you'll still have trouble
