Remote control

Hi!

I am trying to find a way to get the remote on my chromecast (HD) to work with my Tele systems Palco 27 TV.

The TV has HDMI-CEC.

That brand is not in the list for TVs in chromecast.

Anyone knows a compatible TV I could use, or any other way to use the chromecast remote for the volume?

Regards

Leif

Hello there🙂

Let see if  I can help...

You have a  TeleSystems Palco TV, which supports HDMI CEC, so lets try the following...

  • Enable HDMI CEC on your TV.
  • Configure the Chromecast remote

When you first set up your Chromecast with Google TV, it should prompt you to set up the remote for volume, power, and input control.

Now at times it doesn't detect certain brands off  TV"s  automatically, Lets try selecting a similar brand or opting for "manual setup" to enter the commands yourself.

  • Navigate to Settings > Remotes & Accessories > Set up remote buttons to manually configure the volume control buttons. Play around a bit. Dont be scared.

Pro Tip:📺

Also by plugging the Chromecast directly into the receiver instead of the TV (or vice versa) can resolve communication issues. If your receiver supports HDMI CEC, ensure it is also enabled there.

If all else fails try 3rd party Solutions...

If the built-in features don't work, consider using 3rd party devices, which can integrate various devices and control them within Google Assistant or with the Chromecast remote

Please let me know if any off the above worked.

Best off luck🎲

Thanks!

I got the volume working without selecting any TV. Changed the setting from automatic to chromecast.

I can live with not having on/off and input select working.

Thanks a lot!

Leif

Glad i could assist😉

Blessed may the rest off your day be🔈🔊

Found out recently that all apps don’t handle the volyme the same way. In some of my apps in chromecast I can adjust the volume with the settings I found working. In others, like Max, that does not work.

Is that something in the app?

Buenas. Tengo problemas con el remoto, se desconecta del dispositivo. A alguien le pasó?? Cómo puedo solucionar. Gracias

Hi Emanuel190511,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear that you are having this situation with the Chromecast remote constantly disconnecting. I understand how frustrating this situation can be. But don't worry, I can help.

Please, try with these steps:

  1. Remove both batteries from the remote.
  2. While checking the LED on the remote, reinsert the batteries. If the LED doesn't flash twice, continue to the next step.
  3. Complete within 2 seconds: While checking the LED, remove and reinsert the battery that's closer to the volume button. If the LED still doesn't flash twice, repeat this step.
  4. While checking for the LED to flash twice, replace both batteries with the original batteries that came with the remote. If those batteries aren't available, use 2 fresh 1.5 volt AAA batteries.
  5. Remove both batteries and wait 5 minutes. While checking for the LED to flash twice, reinsert the batteries.
  6. If the LED still doesn't flash, you can follow the troubleshooting steps for Voice Remote doesn't work at all.

You can check the "Troubleshoot the Chromecast Voice Remote" article for detailed information.

Please let me know how it works after this steps or if you have more questions. I'll be happy to help.

Best regards,

Jenny

Hi there!

I see you're in Brazil, and I'm all the way over here in South Africa, but let's see if I can help you out with your Google Nest remote issue.

If your remote keeps disconnecting from your TV, there are a few things you might want to try. First, check the batteries in your remote—they could be running low, and fresh ones might just do the trick. Sometimes, a quick reset can help too. Unplug your TV and Google Nest device for about a minute, then plug them back in and let everything reboot. It’s a simple step, but it often works wonders.

Re-pairing the remote is another option. You can do this by holding down the pairing button on the remote until the LED light starts blinking. Your TV should guide you through the rest of the steps.

Don’t forget to check for any available firmware updates for both your TV and the Google Nest device. Updates can fix bugs that might be causing connection issues.

Interference from other electronic devices or obstacles between the remote and TV could also be a culprit, so try clearing the space around them.

If all else fails, a factory reset on the remote might be necessary. While it’s a bit more drastic, it can often solve stubborn issues. And if you’re still having trouble, you can use the Google Home app on your smartphone as a temporary remote, or contact Google Support for more help.

I hope one of these tips helps you out! Please let me know if my advice has made a difference. Have a great day, and God bless!

i translated the above for you🙂

¡Hola!

Hi LeifAnd,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with the  inconsistent volume levels between different apps on your Chromecast. I understand that the situation may cause frustration. But don't worry, let's work on finding a solution.

To get started, please tell me what Chromecast device you have?

In this case, try adjusting the volume levels individually within each app. Some apps may have their own volume settings. If the situation persists, check your TV's audio settings and ensure "Auto Volume Leveling" or similar features are disabled.

Please let me know how it goes. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,

Jenny
