I have an old Chromecast device that I haven’t used in many years. In trying to reactivate it on a new WiFi network I get to the Google Home screen with the button that says “Request invite to manage.” But nothing happens. What’s supposed to happen next?

The quickest fix here is to reset the Chromecast and set it up again (follow the "From the Chromecast device" reset steps).
