Searchable apps settings is broken

I recently purchased and set up a Google TV 4K streamer, and I noticed that it only shows results from YouTube, so I tried to access the "Searchable Apps" setting, but it seems to be broken and keeps loading forever. 

I have already tried restarting the device, updating the software, and even performing a factory reset, but the problem persists.

I also realized that the Google app never asked for permission to "search across all your TV apps," which is something that I see on the Chromecast.

Additionally, I enabled developer mode in the tv and discovered this message in the logs:
com.google.android.katniss. DSC not enabled, skipping cloud-searchable apps.

Any suggestions?
