I had a Gen 1 Google TV on my living room TV and a Chromecast on my bedroom TV. When powered off the Google TV was always greyed out in the Home App. The Chromecast was active. I have now replaced the Google TV with a Google Streamer and moved the Gen 1 GTV to the bedroom. Again the living room device is greyed out while the GTV now in the bedroom shows as active. Any ideas? All on the same 2.4 ghz network. Thks

Hi Woomera,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand that your Gen 1 Google TV and Google TV Streamer (4K) appear grayed out in the Google Home app when they are powered off and connected to your living room TV. However, when the Gen 1 Google TV and the Chromecast are connected to your bedroom TV, they show as active, even when powered off.
To assist you further, could you please answer the following questions?
What is the distance between this Google device and the router?
What is the color of the LED light status?
Are you able to stream with this device?
In the meantime, I can suggest checking out this article, Troubleshoot Chromecast connection to learn more about how these devices work.
Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
Best regards,
Daniel

thanks for the replies ...I've decided it's not really worth ' losing sleep over ' and may eventually , right itself. Even though it's greyed out , I can still open it , and the remote , and operate the Streamer .
