Hey there Ajay,
 
What app or website are you casting from that you need subtitles for? Subtitles are something that the app/web developer has to add, and the settings for those would be found on their end.

Hey I know basics 

 

Vi movies& tv is captioned app which very much support subtitles.. and if you play same on fire stick , subtitles work but not on chrome

Welcome to the new Nest community forums! We can take a look into this subtitle issue and see why they aren't playing, let me just ask you a few questions, so I can understand the scenario:

  • What model of Chromecast do you have?
  • Have you tried casting from the Vi Movies and TV's application and website?
  • Are you located in a supported country

Depending on what kind of Chromecast you have, as well as the file type that Vi uses, could affect the Chromecast's ability to display subtitles. Here is a similar thread from a while ago that explains it in a bit more detail. 

 

Aside from that, if you are also not located in a supported country, the Chromecast may not function 100% as intended since it would be using unfamiliar apps, internet, and software from the TV.
