Today, Sunday 3/16/25, USA location, I was able to get my Chromecast device working and I can now stream from my phone to my chromecast device on my TV!
I have not received any communication from Google about instructions on how to resolve the matter. I’m just reporting that I was able to get my device operational today, by trying again myself to resolve the issue.
Best wishes to everyone else on getting your chromecast devices working.
p.s. I do not know what generation of Chromecast my Chromecast device is.

Please tell us what you did to fix it? Because mine is still saying the same thing.... That they can't authenticate the Chromecast? Please help!
