I'm sure we're all familiar with the 'AP Isolation' issue that seems to be fairly common around here.
Well, I've tried every single option imaginable to solve the issue, but nothing works. The only fix that works is the following...
1. Chromecast works for a little while before disappearing without explanation from the Home app.
2. Do a factory reset of the device and attempt to reconnect it.
3. Home app recognises and registers device, but then the AP Isolation error comes up.
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 about 100 times.
5. Get lucky for no explainable reason and it actually connects.
6. Repeat from step 1.
I'm really sick and tired of having to do this every week or so.
Like I said, I have tried everything that has already been suggested in these forums. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything, restarted devices, checked the AP Isolation settings of my router - you name it, I've done it.
Is there ANYTHING else I can do before I throw the piece of crap in the trash and get something else?
