I have a Toshiba TV with built-in chromecast (model 43L621U)
Beginning yesterday (9/14), I'm unable to connect. Trying to connect from Youtube on my iphone gives "Untrusted Device", "<device-name> couldn't be verified. This could be caused by outdated device firmware."
Going to the Toshiba site, here:
http://tvna.compal-toshiba.com/ca/en/download/?mname=43L621U
There is no updated firmware listed (verified the latest version is what's installed: 01.04.088)
Suggestions?
Note that I selected "Chromecast (2nd Gen)" as the "Product" category although I have no real idea what is in the TV.

Hey there mla,
I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that casting issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:
What version of Google Home are you using?
Does this only happen when you cast YouTube?
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran

What version of Google Home are you using?
I'm not sure what that means? I'm not using Google Home, I'm using the above listed Toshiba television with integrated chromecast.
Does this only happen when you cast YouTube?
No, all attempts to stream anything resulted in the same error message.
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
I've tried different apps on my iphone (youtube, hulu, podbean, "Video & TV Cast"). And I tried casting from my laptop through Chrome. None of them were able to connect and stream.
HOWEVER, a couple days after I wrote, the errors went away. I'm wondering if Google reverted some change. I have not seen the "untrusted device" message since, and have made no other changes to my config.

Oh, that's good that it started working again! I suppose in that case, I'll go ahead and lock up the thread. If you run into this issue again, or any issue, feel free to start a new thread. Thank you for your response!
Best regards,
Jeran
