“Unable to Play” error when using Apple TV app

I’m being driven slowly mad by this error message when I try to play anything on the Apple TV app. There is no internet issue (which is what it says when you troubleshoot) as all the other apps work fine. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app, then I factory reset the Chromecast, but it didn’t work. Help! I just want to watch SVU 😭😭 I can’t cast from my iPhone as it’s not supported by the Apple TV iOS app.

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the delay. A few questions: what Chromecast device are we working on? When did the issue start? Is this only happening with the Apple TV app or across all apps? If you have a friend or family member who's using the Chromecast, have you checked if they're attempting to reinstall the app? In the meantime, please reboot your Chromecast. Resetting it might also help.
