Since you are receiving an error message, I recommend performing a factory reset to the Remote Audio and pairing it again.
Then, try to set up the power, volume, and input buttons:

- At the top right of your TV screen, select your profile.
- Select Settings.
- Select Remotes & Accessories > Set up remote buttons.
- Add a device > your device type > your device brand.
