(WIFI) it not asking me for a username

Out of the box first time setup

I opt out of connecting via Google account.

Instead, connection to direct wifi

I select my SSID.it is there, I see it. But then I expect to enter a user and password but it only promts for a password.

This is at work and it is setup with many user accounts. each with there own password.

I'm assuming it's a 802.1x/RADIUS network, Chromecast doesn't support those kind of Wi-Fi networks.

I'm not sure if its called 802.1x/RADIUS network but its at work, and it requieres you to enter a user AND password. So this Chromcast would not be compatible with this sort of setup.

Irrespective, if it needs a username and password it's not compatible I'm afraid. Chromecast is designed to connect to personal Wi-Fi networks that just require a password to connect.
