Casting videos, etc. works fine, but when casting my uploaded YouTube Music playlists, it skips through all tracks to the end of the playlist (like it doesn't have internet connection?). Rebooted Chromecast, router, phone. Happened with both phone and tablet.

Thanks for your reply!
My uploads play just fine on my phone/tablet, and only experience this error when casting. My model is the 2nd gen (circular "puck").

I'm having the same problem. I can play youTube Music fine with downloaded music on my phone but as soon as I canst to a Nest speaker, "something went wrong, please try again later". I tried from the Android app and from Chrome browser. Same problem. I've deleted the app from my phone and reinstalled, I've cleared the cache from my phone and Chrome. I created a new Google account, same problem. I tried with a VPN, I tried changing the DNS server. Still the same problem.

I tried Spotify, and that works fine and it doesn't matter which version of Nest speaker I'm using, they all have the same problem. I have an old version one mini and many version two minis. A really old Google Home speaker and a much newer Nest Audio.
In trying to track down the problem, I have tracked down the problem as it seems to be related to music that came across from Google Play Music (which I still miss). If I play a track from an old playlist, most of the playlist won't play if casting to any Google speaker but they will all play to the phone itself without any problem. The same track if caste has a 90% chance of not playing, but some will.
As a result, I'm not sure which product is the cause of the problem. I assume its YTM backend somewhere because if I play from my phone or my PC, the problem is the same. Downloading a track to the phone doesn't seem to make a difference.

Hi @MuscleLondon,
Thank you for your reply. Thank you for that detailed update and for performing those tests. It’s very helpful to know that Spotify works correctly across all your devices, as this rules out a hardware issue with your Nest speakers. Since it sounds like there may be a compatibility issue with how specific files or metadata are handled during casting, please reach out to YouTube customer service for further assistance. You can contact YouTube Help here.
I'll be waiting for your reply.
Best regards,
Kevin.
