Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. I assume that you’re using a non-Google TV version of Chromecast since you tagged a Chromecast 2nd Gen. Older versions of Chromecast devices are intended for casting. Since we’re talking about delay, let’s isolate possible network issues by disconnecting your Chromecast device from your home Wi-Fi and connecting it to another smartphone’s mobile hotspot. I would suggest that you do a full clean-up by performing a factory reset and setting it up from scratch. Let us know how it goes.
