I'm using my 3rd gen chromecast to cast youtube from my PC to my monitor (it isn't a google nor android tv). When I pause the video a pause menu pops up that covers half the screen making it impossible to read or see. stays up indefinitely. The only way to minimize the pause menu is to play the video for about 5 seconds which is completely counterproductive since the point of pausing was to give me time to read what is on the screen. Is there any way to minimize the pause menu of a youtube video while the video is paused?
Oh, and to answer an answer that I already received; I do not have a remote so I don't have a back button to press.
and also I checked the option below already “hide player control” is enabled.

Hey there Pradyumnajpn,
Welcome to the Chromecast Community Forum! I'm sorry to hear that YouTube control overlay is giving you issues. Normally, I would suggest using a remote as a work-around, but since you do not have that option, would you be able to submit feedback to Google? That way, they know that these on-screen controls need to be looked at, as some users don't like the way they are implemented.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know, otherwise, I'll go ahead and lock this thread in 24 hours.
Best regards,
Jeran

Hello there,
We specifically handle Chromecast devices to this forum. Have you already sent feedback about this as suggested by Jeran? If you haven't yet, please try that. Every bit of feedback helps a ton. Also, if this is only happening with the YouTube app, we suggest that you also reach out to the YouTube Community forum for further assistance.
Best,
Jennifer
