Youtube not loading on one device but not another.

Up until recently (2 weeks ago), I was able to cast YouTube from my Samsung Galaxy 52a. However recently I can connect to Youtube, and play a video for 3 seconds before it gets stuck in forever loading screen. Previously it would clear up within 3 - 8 seconds. Now it's 10 minutes and no update.

I've tried restarting / unplugging chromecast, I've restarted my phone and no difference. My wife tries connecting with her iPhone and is able to stream it so it has to be something between my phone and the chromecast.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Scratched_Disk,

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. It seems that your Chromecast device is working as intended. Your wife’s phone won’t be able to cast if the issue is with the device. Try to troubleshoot the YouTube app by clearing the cache and data. If it persists, uninstall it, then reboot your phone before reinstalling it. Ensure that your Chromecast’s and phone’s software and/or firmware are up-to-date. The last resort will be a factory reset on your Chromecast device, then setting it up from scratch. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Kimy

I think this is an issue with the account. Scratched_Disk try changing accounts to see if it works. I'm having this issue with one account but the others work fine. There are multiple posts about this, it would be nice to get a resolution.

This appears to be a YouTube premium issue. I've reported this via email.
