Hi Frsh2d,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing inconveniences with the quality video settings. I'd be happy to help!

I appreciate all the workarounds that you've already performed. To better investigate the situation, I’d like to ask the following:

  • What is the brand and model of your TV?
  • Is this the first time you've attempted to cast this TV?
  • Is the device's power-saving mode turned on?

In the meantime, let's check these steps:

  • Make sure you have the latest versions of the Google Home app and your mobile device's operating system.
  • Ensure the casting device, the TV, and the router are within 15 to 20 feet of each other.
  • Reboot your router by unplugging it for 2 minutes, then plugging it back in.
  • Make sure all HDMI connections are tight and secure. Try switching HDMI ports on your TV.
  • If possible, try connecting the Chromecast to another TV to see if the inconvenience persists.
  • Verify that your TV meets the requirements for using Chromecast 2nd Gen. Check this article for more details: Requirements for Chromecast and Google TV Streamer devices.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
