chromecast HD Problem - Green side (left and right) while casting screen from two different laptop.

Devices

  • TVs: Sony TV (Bravia), Hisense Smart TV

  • Laptops: Infinity Gaming Laptop, Dell Laptop

Issues:

  1. After the February/March firmware update, a green border still appears along the sides of the Sony TV,you always get green bars either on the sides or top and bottom..
    ( see attached link)

  2. (NEW) Both the Sony and Hisense smart TVs no longer display in Stretch in full-screen after the FEB update—regardless of the chosen  changed resolution, 

We need urgent support on these issues, as they’ve been outstanding for far too long and are still pending resolution.

  • I'm just a little curious, are you trying to cast from a laptop to a TV? If so, would it be possible for you to try casting from a phone using the Google Home app instead?
  • Also, could you tell me what you are trying to cast? Are these platforms like YouTube, Netflix, etc., or other websites?

Once you provide this information, I will be more than ready to assist you.

1. Yes i am casting from laptop, laptop info and others please check the orginal post which is in the first link on this tap post.

I am using Iphone , i don’t know how to cast from iphone mirror screen/ cast from the screen from google home app.

 

2. even others then Netflix or youtube etc..

please check following link.

Thank you for letting me know! I really appreciate the information you provided. Based on this, it seems like there might be some settings related to matching content frame rate. Not to worry! I have a helpful resource for you: a Help Center article about Display settings for Chromecast with Google TV and Google TV Streamer. You will find detailed instructions within this article.

Please check those settings, and afterwards, try sharing some apps on your TV. Let me know how it goes!

thanks for answering , but it still the same.

the frame rate is already selected as match content.

I don't get it, is there a more specific answer?

I need a solution to this please.
