two Brand new 3rd gen chromecasts and they freeze casting video or just a screen in a few seconds. Already tried resets and all the different hdmi inputs. Also cleared cookies and tried it on two different tvs and two different networks. Routers have been restarted as well. This thing is a complete bust neither of them work for more than 10 seconds before freezing.

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. Since you’ve already tried different steps yet it still persists, I would suggest trying a factory reset and setting it up on a mobile hotspot. You didn’t mention the type of network that you are using, so we will just use a simple WLAN setup to observe if it still has the same behavior. Let us know how it goes.
