chromecast not connecting

Same. Won’t pop up as a casting option on Netflix. Checked and it’s on the same Wi-Fi

Hey folks,

 

Thanks for posting, and apologies for the delayed response. I know how it feels when you're having issues with your Chromecast device. A few questions: when did the issue start? Which specific Chromecast device do you have?Have you changed any settings on your router lately? Is there a message?

 

Below are additional steps that you can try:

 

  1. Reboot your Chromecast device and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.
  2. Turn WiFi on and off on the mobile setup device.
  3. If you have a dual-band router, try setting up your speaker or display on both the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz bands.
