hi, I have been watch the EPL sport on Optus via my chromecast for a couple of years. I am now getting a blue screen when I try to cast. This screen informs me that my device is not supported. Apparently, it is not supported as Optus have decided that the quality of myChromecast is not up to their standards, and as such, they have decided that I would prefer that I cannot watch the EPL at all!
What is option for me, can I upgrade the chromecast or do I have to purchase another? What is the latest Chromecast, Id hate to buy another one and have Optus decide that it too is not supported.

Upgrade to Chromecast with Google TV.

You still have a Chromecast 1st Gen (the key-shaped one)? Congrats, you've certainly gotten your money's worth out of that.
There are currently two Chromecast devices for sale. One is like your current one (but round) and the other comes with a remote.
Here's a good comparison:

You should probably consider replacing your current Chromecast. The new models have MUCH better WiFi radios in them and upgraded hardware. The Chromecast with Google TV even has an on-screen interface so you can use it without having to use your phone or tablet.
