Can't you go to the Subscription Management page, click on the 3 dots, and select "Cancel subscription"?

However, if you have an annual subscription, I think it only cancels the annual renewal.

I have the same issue. I never subscribed, only clicked on Google home premium within Nest to learn more. It automatically changed settings to see history. BUT NOWHERE do they allow me to cancel!!!!!
