Google Nest displaying wrong time

The time is displaying 2 hours behind. But When I ask the time it says it correctly and shows a screen with the correct information but as soon as that screen is dismissed the clock is still showing two hour behind.

Hello @Jackie25,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand that you are having some difficulties with your Google Home device not updating its location for voice commands related to time, or other location-specific information. I can certainly help you get this resolved.

The default timezone and location for your device are determined by the home address registered in your account. The following steps should help you fix the issue.

Step 1: Update Your Place in the Google Assistant Settings

  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Go to Settings > Google Assistant > Your Places.
  • Tap on your home address.
  • Edit the address and then tap OK to save the changes.

Step 2: Reboot the Speaker or Display

If the issue persists after updating your location, try rebooting the device.

  • Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Choose the speaker or display you are having an issue with.
  • Tap Settings > More > Reboot.
  • If that doesn't work, unplug the power cord from the speaker or display, leave it unplugged for one minute, and then plug it back in.

Step 3: Uninstall and Reinstall the Google Home App

  • If the issue continues, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Home app on your phone. This will help clear any corrupted data.

Step 4: Perform a Factory Reset

  • Remove your Nest Hub Max from the Google Home app.
  • On the back of Nest Hub Max, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub Max will let you know that it's resetting.

Step 5: Create a New Home

If all else fails, you can try creating a new "Home" within the Google Home app.

  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap Settings > Add > Home.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to set up a new home.

I am confident that one of these steps will resolve your location issue. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Regards,

Kevin
