Hi,
I have a nest aware subscription for my gen 1 doorbell. I want to migrate the doorbell to another account. This is no problem but what with my subscription? The website states
"
If you purchased a Nest Aware 1st gen service, you may cancel your Nest Aware subscription at any time by logging into your Google Account and selecting "Cancel Subscription." Note that merely unpairing a Google Nest device from Nest Aware won't trigger cancellation of Nest Aware.
Other than with pre-paid subscriptions, should you cancel the older gen Nest Aware, we'll provide a prorated refund for the period of time from the day after cancellation of Nest Aware to the end of your billing cycle.
"
Is this true? Can I Just cancel my subscription? Because when i want to do it is says it wil cancel on the end of my subscription which is in september next year.

According to other posts in this forum, you are supposed to be able to cancel 1st gen Nest Aware subscriptions (which apply only to specific 1st gen cameras and doorbells) and get a pro-rated refund. However, the same is NOT true of 2nd gen Nest Aware and Nest Aware Plus subscriptions (which apply to ALL 1st and 2nd gen cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure"); for those you cannot get a refund on the remaining subscription.
Do you know whether your subscription is 1st gen or 2nd gen?
We had a 1st gen subscription before we migrated our Nest Account to a Google Account in 2020. Other posts in this forum report that once you "migrate" you lose access to any 1st gen subscription, so customers keep reporting they are unable to cancel their 1st gen subscription.
If you can access your subscription here, then you have a 2nd gen subscription:

If you can access your subscription here, then you have a 1st gen subscription. We can no longer access that page, but get rerouted to the above page because we already migrated to a Google Account in 2020.

Below is a link to Nest Aware pricing, and to a Help topic on what you get with each subscription; maybe that will clarify where you stand.

Also, Google Nest has no process for migrating its devices to another account. The only thing you can do is to remove them from the Google Nest app or Google Home app (as appropriate), do a factory reset, and then reinstall them using the new email account.

Oh okay thank you, I know I have to do a reset of the doorbell to migrate to another account. But if I can't get a refund of the subscription I'll have to wait till it's ended. Because I want to keep the subscription but I don't want to loose 50 euros because I migrate the doorbell to another account.
