It either never works, or there's just not enough data. It's my house,
my device, my data. Why can't I pull down a simple temperature log? Ten
days in the nest app isn't enough. Migrating to Google home is a
joke...not even an option for it.
I see a few people have had issues with Google Homes not completing
setup following a factory reset. I had this and the error message was
that my phone (which runs Google Home) and the speaker were on different
networks. I tried many things. In the e...
I limit it to just Nest data, so it shouldn't be size (no cameras just
the thermostat). I get a reply within a minute that says an error
occured;"Something went wrong and we couldn’t create a copy of your
Google data. You can try to create a new expo...
Would it be possible to add an option to the Farsight settings such that
the display would show BOTH the actual and target temperature? eg 18/20
indicating an actual temp of 18°C and a target of 20°C.
Lol...I can set a trigger "if temp falls below "x"...but I can't replace
"x" with "current temperature setting" from the device. This isn't hard
you know...we don't want the moon; five pieces of data at best; the
timestamp (ideally split into a separa...
Failed at first hurdle. Nest can only "IF" on "change" triggers;
temperature falls below, rises above, etc. There's no option for a
regular hourly reading. If I use date/time as my trigger, then Google
Nest has no "then" options.Let down on all sides...
Hmm, I could try that...though of course it means I have to have another
device constantly on to hold the log...and also to learn how to get
IFTTT to work, which I have spectacularly failed to do on several
previous occasions!
It seems very sad that what has the potential to be a life-changing
device is let down by poor software. As well as Coolayton's entirely
valid suggestion (Google, you are powerful, but you cannot tell people
globally what "day" and "night" are), the ...
