2nd user not recognise when adding to Anylist app

Hi everyone and thanks if you read this & can help:

My set up & equipment:

x1 Google Nest hub gen 2 newly bought

x2 existing iPhones using Google Home app

x2 existing separate gmail accounts

Anylist grocery app installed on each iPhone  & x2 accounts set up - one on each iPhone. Both use the gmail accounts respectively as logins. A shared list already set up and works between each iPhone ok on this app.

User 1 has been set up with the Nest Hub and user 2 invited with all permissions to manage / add allowed.

What I want to achieve:

To allow both users to add to a shared list on Anylist app using voice controls on the same hub (the Google Nest Hub as above).

Problem:

User 1 has been set up with the Nest Hub including voice recognition and works when adding items to the Anylist app using voice commands on the Nest.

User 2 cannot add items by voice on the Nest as the it tells them to set up their recognition. This despite the voice recognition already being done.

Questions:

• Can the Google Nest Hub 2nd gen recognise two separate users and respond to their voices accordingly?

• Can the Google Nest Hub 2nd gen add to a shared list by two separate users?

• If the Google Nest Hub 2nd gen cannot do this with the set up I have then what else do I need?

Many thanks in advance

New Google Home user

Update: FIXED!

• I had not switched on the ‘link to Google Assistant’ toggle in the ‘Anylist’ app on my own phone.
.• [unsure if this was also a problem but changed it anyway just in case] - renamed each list as [shopname] rather than the previous [shopname list] as wondered if the word ‘list’ was some sort of ‘reserved word’ [specific command that some computers don’t like you using in certain file names etc as it causes technical issues]
• Managed to somehow get the Nest itself to allow me to ‘retrain’ my voice with it but unsure if that was critical to the fix

Hope this might help  anyone else out there and thank you for your reply and advice earlier Kiltguy 👍🏼

Person 2 has to accept the invitation, download the home app on their phone, and activate voice match for the hub. It sounds like person 2 has not setup voice match on their account for the hub.

Hi Kiltguy, thank you for taking the time & effort to reply. I just wanted to check I wasn’t missing something here:

User 2 was invited by user 1 and accepted: both users are showing in the home app as users and both have full management access.

voice training:

I had trained my assistant with my voice already which the Nest instructed me to do on the phone using the Home app.
Is there an additional step I am missing maybe? It seemed to say I was set up after that.
note:

When first set up it was user 2 who set up the Nest and then invited user 1  and in those circumstances the first user that set it up could issue commands as per our desired results but the added user could not. Once reversed (we reset the Nest & started again applying the ‘other user’ first) we found again that the added user failed to be able to add to the shopping list.
So the issue seems to revolve around adding a 2nd user who cannot do all that the 1st user can do using voice commands on the Nest itself (not issuing commands on the phone app but the actual Next without the phone being nearby).
