Able to control Nest manually from app, but not from voice

JustinGarro

I recently was able to reconnect a Google Home I own back through the app, however. I am able to control it manually(Using in-app settings). But not with my voice.

For example I will ask it the time and it will reply with “Please login through the Google Home app” message.

If there is a solution to this, it would be greatly appreciated if you gave me the answer

Try these steps:

  1. Tap your speaker in the Google Home app
  2. Tap the Settings cog at the top right
  3. Tap Recognition and sharing
  4. Tap Voice match
    • If it's turned off, turn it on and follow the steps
    • If it's turned on, tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and follow the steps
