Adding family members to Google home so can set up individual voice control of devices

My wife and I have been setup for a few years, but have now tried adding children. When trying to add their email addresses to the Google home app, I keep getting the message “sorry we can’t add them right now”

If they are Family Link accounts, you have to add them with the Family Link app.

In addition to what kiltguy2112 mentioned, certain accounts don't have the ability to be a home member (Google Workspace (formerly known as G Suite) accounts and Child accounts). You can use the link given above for you to add your child's account to your Nest speakers or displays. Here's another link for more information.
