Adding home to nest

Have a home set up in google home, opened nest pressed the + key to add a home, home on home app shows up as option to add so pressed to add, entered address, and continued.

 

That house will not show up in my nest app

 

i get no error message or anything that looks like something didn’t work.

 

it simply doesn’t let me add that home?

Are you signed into both apps using the same account?

What happens if you create a home in the Nest app, does that appear in the Home app?

@Paulgm, I'm jumping in to ensure everything is good here. Have you seen @davidking’s response? Also, have you already migrated your Nest account to a Google account? Let us know of the answers so we could take a closer look at them.

Hello Paulgm,
 

Let’s make sure that the email logged in to the Google Home app is the same email logged in to the Nest app. Try as well to uninstall and reinstall the Nest app > Log in.

Hi Paulgm,

 

I'm chiming in to ensure you've got the answer you're looking for.

 

If you want to create a home that can be accessed both in the Nest and Google Home apps, follow these steps:

 

  1. Verify that you’ve migrated.
  2. Create the home in the Nest app.
  3. Open the Google Home app.
  4. Click the profile icon on the top right.
  5. Check if you are logged in with the same email address.
  6. Tap Favorites, then tap the name of the current home.
  7. Select a new home from the drop-down menu. You should now see the new home you created.
