I followed the instructions as outlined in this post Answered: Music Services Apps not appearing - Google Nest Community

I am in the USA, so I am in a supported region, however - It does not show "more music services" in my google home app.  I have the option of no default or Youtube thats it. Nothing else.

I am on IOS, and using Apple Music.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi jdc20181,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand you're having trouble setting Apple Music as your default music service on your Google Home because the "More music services" option isn't showing up in your Google Home app. Let's troubleshoot this together.

Since the "More music services" option is missing, even after you've tried some initial steps, it's possible that the language and region settings on your iPhone might be affecting what you see in the Google Home app.

Here's what I recommend we check:

  1. Ensure Consistent Language and Region Settings:

    • iPhone Language: Go to your iPhone's Settings app, then tap General > Language & Region. Make a note of the language and region you have selected here.

    • Google Home App Language: While the Google Home app often follows your system language, it's worth ensuring there isn't a conflicting setting. However, the primary influence here is usually the system language.

    • iPhone Region: In the same Language & Region settings on your iPhone, verify that the selected region corresponds to your actual location (United States, in this case).

    • Google Home App Region : The Google Home app generally detects your region based on your Google account and location services. Ensure location services are enabled for the Google Home app in your iPhone's settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Google Home—set to "While Using the App" or "Always").

  2. Restart Your iPhone: After confirming these language and region settings are consistent, go ahead and restart your iPhone. This can help refresh system settings and how apps are displaying information.

  3. Check the Google Home App Again: Once your iPhone has restarted, open the Google Home app and navigate to Settings > Music. See if the "More music services" option is now visible below the "Default music service" section.

Let me know if making these checks and restarting your iPhone makes the "More music services" option appear in your Google Home app. We can explore other possibilities if it's still not showing up.

Regards,

Kevin
