Need to unsubscribe from Nest Home Report emails

I want to unsubscribe to the Nest Home Report emails. They were setup when I lived in a previous apartment and have a different phone number. But without access to the 2FA number, it seems like I can't unsubscribe.

Unfortunately I signed into Nest using a Microsoft email address (@live.com) so I can't change my phone number in the Nest system.

That doesn't work either. It's the phone number on my nest account that needs changing not my Microsoft account.

Hi folks,

Appreciate the help here, MplsCustomer.

Hasanhilmi, thanks for reaching out. If you can't access your phone number or your email where we sent the verification code to follow the steps below.

  1. Contact your phone or email service provider’s support for help regaining access to your phone number or email account. For instance, if you can’t remember your email account’s password, you should be able to reset the password on your email provider’s website and then access your email account to view the email we sent to you.
  2. If you can’t regain access to your phone number or email after contacting their support, you’ll have to factory reset your Nest products, and then add them to a new account. Note: You’ll have to re-invite people to share access to your home in your new account, and you’ll lose any video history and device settings information.

Factory reset Nest camera and doorbell
    Factory reset Nest thermostat
    Factory reset Protect
    Factory reset Nest Guard
    Factory reset Nest Detect
Factory reset Nest × Yale Lock
  3. If you have issues adding a Nest product to your account, refer to troubleshooting steps in the Google Nest help center.

Why would my carrier give me access to my old phone number? It's likely being reused by a new customer.

Google/Nest needs to provide a way to change the 2FA phone number.

I don't have access to reset those devices! I don't live there anymore. I'm sure the new renters are using it now but I still get the emails. Have you even tried this method?
