Not receiving password reset email from nest

Checked spam filter not hitting spam filter.

Added accounts.nest.com and nest.com to the whitelist on the spam filter.

Still no email.

Please provide some next steps.

I have entered every single email address that I have, I have checked every single spam and junk box in all of those emails and still have not received the password reset. I am three minutes away from throwing your stupid thermostat in the trashcan and going back to a dumb thermostat. This is beyond infuriating and I have run out of patience. If you still want to spy on me through the thermostat you will help me get it set up. That is all

I have tried all these. The app asks to give the security numbers off the back of the doorbell but its been siliconed to the wall and I do not want to risk damaging it. The email for resetting the password does not come through.

I have been effing around with this for an hour and decided to throw the piece of sh!! Nest away and change my 2 thermostats to a  brand that takes care of their customers. What a joke GOOGL, yes you!

All, I used the Google Neat chat support and they explained the issue. If at some point you transferred the nest account to Google, you will not receive a password retrieval  email using a nest login. You need to log in using your Google account. So simple, but it worked. Would be great if they fixed the user experience on the site so we aren’t all caught in this loop. Good luck.

I am not receiving the emails are not able to get into the account and it started to create a new account for me I don’t want a new account so can someone please tell me what I’m supposed to do I can’t control my thermostat

Hi. try using the Google Nest chat support from the Nest homepage. Also, the reason why you aren’t receiving the emails is most likely because you converted to a gmail address at some point. It will no longer recognize old emails logins and instead of telling us that, they leave us hanging. So, also try signing on with your Google credentials. Good luck.

Hi,  I managed to get hold of somebody on the helpdesk by phone & they manually sent me a link to reset my password. I guess next time I have to reset it I will find out if I automatically get one. Thks

I've never been knocked off and don't ever sign on, I'm always on. I went to view today and I was prompted to login, I used the correct email and password, it won't take it, and won't send me reset password prompt

Thanks for letting us know about this. I'm sorry to know that you can't receive your reset password link to access your Nest account. Let's get this sorted — a few questions: is your Nest account a legacy or migrated account? When did the issue start? Also, what troubleshooting have you tried so far?

Not sure the difference between Legacy or migrated. But I got nest before Google. I have an account, I just need the cameras connected again.

I know my password is correct and the nest login is malfunctioning.  

I tried to "migrate to google" however my email despite being gmail based is deemed not acceptable as a "client" so I now have three email accounts and none can log in to change my away settings.  super frustrating

Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out — a few questions: do you have an Android or iPhone? Is your account migrated or non migrated (legacy)? When did the issue start? Also, what Nest devices you got?
