Hi! I was previous part of the Nest Field Trial program but became ineligible for the program about a year ago and had to return my Field Trial devices. However, my account was never removed from the Nest Field Trial program and now I'm unable to add a significant other to my Nest/Home environment.
I saw some threads from the old support google forums (that we can't access now) about folks having similar problems, is there anyone here that can help or point me in the right direction?
Much appreciated!

Hey there DracoC77,
I was able to get more information on this and unfortunately there isn't a way to remove the account from the trial. The only workaround would be to use a new account. I apologize as I know that this isn't ideal. Congrats on moving in with your significant other though, that is always an exciting time.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Garrett DS

Hi DracoC77,
I don't have any contact information to give you but I can get this escalated this to our Nest support team and see if they can find out how to delete.

Hi, was just curious if there was any feedback from the Nest support team on how to delete my account from the Nest FT?

I escalated this over to them but I can surely give a nudge.

Hi there DracoC77,
I apologize for the late response here, but appreciate your patience while I was doing some research into this. Unfortunately, there is not a way to unmigrate a Nest Field Trial account from a Google account as it is not reversible.
The best workaround would be to create a new Google account.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

No worries for the delay and thank you for getting back to me Garrett!
Ooof, that is a very "nuclear option" workaround as I have all of my gmail, calendar, not to mention youtube preminum subscription on that account and not sure how a new one would integrate (no more using google assitant for personal calendars?).
One follow-up if I may, I used to be an employee and there was a set of instructions for internal folks to access and run a script on your personal account that would delete your entire google home setup/structure and then migrate it back to the regular production tier from the field trial tier. Sounds like that sequence of steps hasn't been turned into an actual tool folks can readily use (makes sense and probably why the generic answer is "can't unmigrate), but wanted to confirm there was no way we could beg for someone's 15min to run that script targeted at my gmail?
Thanks again for your time and follow-up, really appreciate the effort here as I'm about to move in with a signficant other, have a lot of google devices, but right now we can't actually add each other to any home setup due to the Nest Field Trials migration 😞

Hey there,
Totally understand that, and that is a great question. I have been in contact with the team that has more information about this process and I'm just waiting to hear back from them. I will let you know as soon as I get more information to see if that is a possibility.
Thanks!

Amazing, I really appreciate the extra effort Garrett. Fingers crossed! (And tell the team I’ll send along a nice bottle of scotch/wine/favorite drink to a destination of their choice 😉)

Oh forgot to mention I actually have a link that might be useful to find the script I was talking about, but don’t want to just post it here in a public forum, so let me know if there’s a more private way to send it to you!

Hey there,
Yeah I totally understand, you've got this account with everything on it, and there's no way to get it back, I'm so sorry and understand the frustration around it. I will pass the feedback along.
I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread, but I hope you have a great day and a great weekend.
Best regards,
Garrett DS
