Hello kimmm,
I’m sorry for the late response. Nest Camera battery is designed to work best in ambient temperatures between -20° and 40°C (-4° and 104°F), and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -20° and 60°C (-4° and 140°F). Exposing Nest Cam to temperatures above 60°C (140°F) may damage Nest Cam, overheat the battery or pose a risk of fire. Here is a link to know more about Safety and regulatory guide for Google Nest Cam (battery).
Let me know if you have additional questions.
Best,
Edmond

So how hot do the battery cameras need to be before they catch fire? We're expecting 45°c here in the next few days. Are these cameras going to burn my house down? Seeing as though they're constantly faulty and pieces of rubbish and never work as they should i thought i better ask here and put it in writing. That way the fire brigade and Australian government and the ACCC can act on my behalf when my house is turned to ash and my family possibly die from the fire caused by these faulty battery cameras...
So what is the temperature they actually catch fire?
