Battery door bell is not ringing inside the house

Hello my google door bell has stopped ringing on are nest inside the house and this has caused people to be standing at my door for a long time before we have realised they are there! 
it has also stop notifying my on my IPhone. So now it’s only my Partners phone to notifies if anyone is there and he is at work most of the time. 
please can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

PS:  For what it is worth you are not the only one with this problem.  If you search in the forum you will see a number of people reporting this problem.
